Genuine Parts ensure that your BAIC operates the way the manufacturer intended because they are designed and developed with the vehicle. Only authorized dealers and service providers can provide you with the genuine parts to guarantee your vehicle runs in a healthy manner. It maintains the quality of your vehicle and ensures the longevity of your vehicle.

To guarantee that your vehicle maintains its best condition, only OEM approved dealerships or service providers are qualified to do the repair or service work, and only OEM genuine parts should be used in the repair or service of your BAIC vehicle.

Warranty

BAIC provides a 5-year or 120,000km warranty for your vehicle. For further details, please refer to the Warranty Booklet of your specific model.

 

Roadside Assistance

Our Roadside Assistance is provided by the AA, which covers the below items:

 

   

This service is available 24/7/365 days a year. The primary objective of the AA’s road patrol and hybrid van fleet is to effect on-the-spot mobility at the roadside (95% of the time we get vehicles mobilized). The service is available in the major metropolitan areas of Gauteng (Johannesburg & Pretoria), Vaal Triangle, Cape Town, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, Rustenburg & Nelspruit. Some of the services offered include:

 

  • Change of a flat tyre
  • Out of fuel – Provision of fuel to a maximum of 10 liters (free)
  • Jump-start
  • Mobile battery replacements. Upfront payment required by the customer for the battery
  • Key lockout service
  • Minor roadside running repairs, includes electrical, coil, immobilizer, battery related breakdowns.

This service is available 24/7/365 days a year. In the event that an AA road patrol is unable to open a vehicle to retrieve the keys from the vehicle, or should the incident have occurred outside of an AA road patrol operating area, the AA will dispatch an accredited locksmith service provider to the incident scene to open the vehicle.

The service is limited to 40km, thereafter the driver of the vehicle or BAIC will be required to pay the additional km’s.

Maximum cover per call out is R500 excl VAT.

In the event of a mechanical or electrical breakdown and requires a tow, the AA will arrange for the vehicle to be towed to the nearest accredited/preferred dealer/repairer/yard from the breakdown scene. The service is limited to 40km, thereafter the driver of the vehicle or BAIC will be required to pay the additional km’s.

The objective of the roadside security response service is to provide roadside security to BAIC customers who require roadside assistance. This will be done by dispatching an armed ADT Security response officer to the incident scene who will secure the scene and wait with the customer until the necessary AA technical service responds to the call. The service is available in major metropolitan areas of South Africa.

The AA provides 24-hour AA Mayday emergency medical assistance services for unforeseen medical emergencies. The AA will arrange for emergency medical evacuation to a suitable medical facility in the event of a medical emergency. The service is available nationally and the service is provided by Netcare 911.
